As in the United States Weddings in the United States are daytime weddings that do not exceed 10 p.m. Guests arrive in the early afternoon and settle in for the ceremony. Then towards the end of the afternoon, around 5 p.m. it is the cocktail and then early in the evening the meal. Finally, the bride and groom perform their first dance at 8 p.m. / 8:30 p.m. and then leave around 10 p.m., all passing under a guard of honor, performed by the guests, for their honeymoon.
What schedule for us in France? For your daytime wedding you have the choice, nothing is set. The town hall the day before, or in the morning. A religious or secular ceremony in the morning or in the afternoon. A sit-down meal for lunch and an afternoon of dancing and entertainment. Or a Cocktail dinner from 5:00 p.m. and a first dance at 6:00 p.m. The day's entertainment For your afternoon, plan various activities for the guests, during the couple's photo shoots, with the family or with smoke bombs. Pétanque, horse-drawn carriage on an estate, the little extra of a place such as a swimming pool or even an escape game. Culinary entertainment, homemade ice cream or ice roll, barman cocktails, popcorn or cotton candy. Music with a jazz, pop rock, Brazilian group according to your desires for your afternoon. End your evening under a hedge of sparklers

Once your wedding is over, there is no obligation to entertain your guests fr the rest of the evening. Plan a few lists for your guests for activities : horseback riding, visit of the town, walk un the forest, canoe etc... or your favorite restaurants for the evening and the next day.
For you, a dinner just for two, with spa / massage; go directly on your honeymoon, the choice is yours. Or enjoy an evening with your guests staying with you at the reception venue for an evening under the stars drinking cocktails.
